Everyone’s losing their minds, Healthy in paranoid times

playing typing maniac and trying to beat other people's scores set me thinking..

i remember how i always lose my temper when i lose to my brother while playing stupid games, and when things dont go my way. my mum always asks why i must get so angry.

but seriously, is there anyone out there who doesnt mind losing?
i doubt it's possible, winning is the key to happiness.

Today,

we were all really undecided on which movie to watch because some of us had already watched some of the movies which we were planning to watch. in the end, 2 people watched 'I love you man' and the 4 of us watched 'The brothers bloom'. our movie was at cinema europa at vivo, so we had to pay 10 freaking bucks. went in, the person said first door on the right. so we were like whoa, since it looked really nice. but the door couldnt open, decided to go through by another door, but we were stopped. cause that was the entrance to first class, haha how dumb. but anyway, the seats were a bit better, and there was some sort of a 'table' in place of the drink holders. the whole point is, the brothers bloom was pretty good, contrary to what i first thought since the name sucks.

however, the best part is we managed to exit by the entrance instead. so we were able to sneak into another theatre. watched 'land of the lost' for a while and decided it was boring and lame so we just left. if only we didnt plan to go home for dinner, could have spent the whole night sneaking into different theatres haha.

AND, i got a job at the airport with tetze yin. will have to work like overnight shifts sometimes, hope it wont be too tiring zzz.

band of the week: death cab for cutie

he's so handsome.

She longs to be another teenage dream, The problem is she's turning forty three, She still takes her clothes off

cookie has to come up with an awesome album soon or im not gonna like him anymore
the greatness of other bands and their music show me that he's not that great after all
gotta put that great voice to better use manzx

anyway i got some temperature taking job with yucky and her friend
it's only for a week but at least i'll have some extra money to shop
i still wanna buy shoes

i love potato salad. yum.

the trip to vietnam was pretty fun
my first time overseas without my parents
but everything turned out well
Thank God for taking the wheel of the planes we were on, protecting us from the scary traffic conditions(i nearly died okayz. haha) and yeah, no flu of any type haha

just gonna talk about the highlights of the trip cause im lazy

LIVING CONDITIONS
1. our hotel was pretty coooool cause it was nice and clean, which was seriously a very pleasant surprise cause it was only 40 USD per night.
2. there were 2 computers downstairs for the guests to use so yeah, not bad. all the workers there were gamers though, whole day play same game. some vietnam dota game i think? haha
3. breakfast buffet was available but there was not variety. we didnt realise we could order pho and noodles so we were quite sad the first morning. ordered it the second morning anyways.

LOCAL TOUR
1. finally visited mekong river, something which i always wrote about for h2 geog hydro questions.
2. meng and i were attacked brutally by mozzies, damn.
3. durians were sold at like 70cents sing. thanks meng's aunt for feeding me LOL. i cant believe it i was being fed, lol.
4. tour was cool until we were confronted by our fear of dogs. i dont know, im not scared of all dogs, but those were freaky.
5. highlight of the tour: pearls, meng's mum, meng(did she run?) and me running around the table. i think i kicked a chair. i feel quite bad cause meng's mum got a blue-black on her leg and twisted her back. but it's still funny HAHAHAHAHA

CU CHI TUNNELS
1. gave all of us muscle ache. but i dont know why i feel like only meng and i are suffering haha. pearls and wanz can sit down with ease.
2. was pretty scary, cause the tunnels were kinda narrow and low. there was a bat in one tunnel.
3. we were all sweating and the total length of the tunnels was less than 50m? haha
4. but it ended with a massage so yeah, felt really good; other than the part where the whole weight of the person massaging me was on my back. gosh.

SHOPPING
1. we learnt the art of bargaining. but ultimately, it's the 'let's go' method which works best.
2. didnt buy much, sadly.

-if only we can take cabs in singapore like we do there, where cab fares are only 2 bucks.
-we see gayken everywhere and are always singing the same songs, ie invisible by clay aiken and change by daniel merriweather (we only know one line)
-eating pho and taking pho-tos
-doing stupid recordings and failing
-watching channel v every night and watching the same advertisements and listening to the same songs
-our alarm was 'mad world' by lambert and we'd always snooze it many times before we decide to wake up
-learnt to hate the song
-eating jackfruit and drinking lots of coconut juice
-speaking with dozens of accents and languages haha, okay not really
-always spending the bulk of our money on food, what's new
-what else huhhhhh, cant remember
-go check out pics on fb, uploading pics on blogger is a real chore

havent had muscle ache in years

today, we went cycling. cycled to the jetty. looked at people fishing. suddenly, terri told us to look at the sea. we saw a hand. we thought it was a hand which fell from the mannequin or whatever. we also came up with all the dramatic stories about how it might be a severed hand and all. we were getting super excited. then, we saw traces of red at the edge and we were pretty convinced it was a real hand. but it drifted nearer and nearer to us and we saw that it was a glove.

turns out terri is also a cook fan. cant believe it. so as we took the same bus home, we listened to his album. and now i cant stop listening to his songs again. the low voice, the wide range and the feelings he invests into every song.

anyway, i couldnt sleep last night so as i was in bed, i started thinking. i imagined how awesome it would be if OLP came to singapore for a concert and DC was their opening act. or if DC held a concert here and OLP was their opening act. i dont know, either way i would be thrilled beyond belief.

i think it's pretty fun typing rubbish without the proper sentence structures.

at the japanese food court at some mall
where bi huan thought they were all pitiful
cause people dont respond to their call
and the crowd was nowhere near bountiful

but alas we passed by this shop
where the guitars caught my eye
we had no choice but to stop
i was reluctant to say bye

the colours are so pretty
it doesnt matter if i dont play the guitar
i wouldnt mind if i get it for free
i can practise and be a rock star

im just crapping my way through
trying to make the words rhyme
im not as good now as before, that's true
but i can still do this in a short availability of time
